Tom races with TBS Racing p/b Plan2Peak from East Aurora, New York

Weichmann has been a workhorse for TBS Racing p/b Plan2Peak as a front-of-the-field tempo rider, often called on to pull back breakaways, control large fields, and fire off attacks. Despite his team-first riding style, Tom took 5th place overall in the Buffalo Bicycling Club’s CAT 4 Points Series in 2011 and 4th in 2010. Mid season Tom pulled off a top 15 performance in Ohio’s “Tour of the Valley” Individual Time Trial Stage - missing top 10 by only a few seconds. Impressive late-season form in 2011 helped Tom claim his first road race victory at the Buffalo Bicycling Club’s Wyoming County Road Race in September. He followed it up with an impressive 29:47 at the Buffalo Bicycling Club’s Akron 20km Time Trial (a personal best) to close out the season. Tom is sure to carry this momentum into the new season, and will be ready to launch his own attacks in 2012.

Seriously I'm pretty sick of freezing my ass off riding in 40° rain. I'm also pretty sick of spending several hours cleaning my crap off after I'm done too. This weekend was perfect. If this was the end of summer we would have thought it was cold, but since it is mid spring and we've been freezing - IT WAS AWESOME!

What a weekend - two races close enough in Erie that we can do them both. Oh did I say that it was sunny and dry?


Race 1: - ECBC Fairview Circuit

OK, so 1st race we jammed over to ECBC Fairview. We thought we were doing a flat crit, but the race director deciphered his flyer for us and we were actually doing a short circuit race with a pretty decent kicker in it. It rode like a roller coaster, you were either going up or down, pretty much never flat.

I know I've said it, and I hear it almost every time someone around me wins. I think if I'm ever lucky enough to get another win, I'm gonna cross the finish line clucking!

Me, Lion Spice (AKA Rohr), Little S (AKA JP) and Alex (Nick Name Needed) got into the break early and worked it out from there. Alex put in the effort of the day - super props to him. Seriously Alex we need to invent a nick name for you. Not sure how you've escaped for this long.
