The Level 4 is the ultimate coaching plan for athletes in search of a Professional Coach and that are serious about achieving their goals. These athletes are serious about reaching their optimal performance potential and desire unlimited interaction with their coach.

Level 4 coaching provides the opportunity for you and your coach to daily analyze workouts, current level of performance, your progress and program direction. You will be using the best online training platform on earth. This platform will maximize the use of your training devices, optimize your relationship with your coach and provide an archive for your training records.

The Level 4 start up is comprehensive. Athlete will come to Buffalo to meet with their coach in person. Hotel expense will be covered with the start up fee. Travel is the athlete's responsibility. The Start Up will start with a comprehensive consultation and review of your exercise history. We will establish your strengths, weaknesses, priority events and goals during this start up. With the information gathered your Annual Training Plan will be created and put into action. The athlete will also receive a bike fitting by Coach Cummings. They will then be run through the Functional Threshold Power test to establish their power training levels. With the information gathered your Annual Training Plan will be created and put into action. You will be given your personalized Power Chart to guide your workout intensities and be walked through the features of both the WKO+ software and Trainingpeaks.com online platform. Further testing analysis will be done using the cutting edge Firstbeat Techonologies Software.

With Level 4 coaching athletes will receive emails daily from their coach. It will include very specific details on the volume, intensity, terrain and other details to be used for each and every workout. There will be no more guessing. Your coach will then monitor and analyze your workout files providing feedback each day. Your coach will schedule and call you two times a week. During these 30 min phone/video consultations you will discuss your progress, direction, past workouts, race strategies and more. Level 4 athletes are encouraged to email or call questions in daily if they arise and are entitled to have their schedule revised whenever necessary. Another huge benefit of Level 4 is use of Heart Rate Variability to create what is called your Recovey Index. Using cutting edge HRV monitors and software the athletes schedule can be customizied to consider their current training state. Recover Indexing is the measurement of recovery an athlete has attained during a nights sleep. How much recovery necessary to reach optimal adaptation is the "Million Dollars Question" in training. Recovery Indexing offers the first Objective feedback of this crucial aspect of training.

Level 4 athletes are entitled to large discounts at Plan2Peak training camps and Metabolic Testing. Coach Cummings limits the number of Level 4 athletes he works with to 5. Please email to find out if there is room.

Mandatory equipment includes - Downloadable HRM, Power meter (for cyclist), GPS unit (for runners), Suunto t6 HRM or Suunto Memory Strap and WKO+ software
