THE BOOK BY PETER CUMMINGS

Most healthcare reacts to what has already gone wrong. Health Ballistics is built to change the trajectory before it does.

WHY THIS BOOK

See where to focus, not just what is wrong.

Drawing on more than three decades of clinical and performance experience, Peter Cummings brings cardiorespiratory fitness, metabolic health, movement competency, sleep, and behavior into one measurable framework. The goal is to find the drivers worth addressing first and make a practical plan around them.

Health Ballistics is an operational blueprint for precision health, created for three audiences.

WHO IT IS FOR

One framework. Different starting points.

Individuals

Learn to read your own data, identify what matters most now, and turn those priorities into a plan you can act on.

Providers

Written for health coaches, exercise professionals, and nutrition professionals. Connect findings across domains, set clearer priorities with clients, and monitor how they respond.

Self-funded employers

Health Ballistics is not another packaged risk reduction strategy. It shows how personalized education and earlier action can help reduce avoidable healthcare utilization, with aggregate insight for employers.

AN OPERATIONAL BLUEPRINT

From assessment to action.

Using structured assessment tools, weighted prioritization, and scalable ways to put a plan into practice, Health Ballistics shows individuals, providers, and employers how to identify the highest-yield drivers. The framework is designed to reduce risk and build capacity by addressing priorities in context, rather than trying to change everything at once.

GROUNDED IN OUTCOMES

The approach connects to published work.

In a published lifestyle intervention cohort coauthored by Peter, 42% of participants with metabolic syndrome no longer met its criteria, 35% with prediabetes had normalized hyperglycemia, and 46% with type 2 diabetes reached HbA1c below diabetic cutoffs. These are group outcomes, not a promise of individual results.
